Let's Call it a Date!

Since Jenna and Ian are huge music buffs, what better way to share their love for live music in their wedding than concert ticket themed place cards! The vintage ticket style reflects their fall wedding colors, along with their guests' names as "featured special guests."

We also designed matching table tents, using a more formal font. Congrats, Jenna and Ian! We hope your wedding is rockin'! Read more on "Let's Call it a Date!"...

Bird Caketoppers

Last December Megan and Ben used a whimsical bird caketopper made by Ann Wood. We just thought that these were the most precious and unique caketoppers!

I was recently browsing through my list of design blogs and came across hello Lucky! They made a recent post on Ashley Anna Brown. She also creates whimsical bird toppers, but these are more plump and round. So whatever bird caketopper you are looking for...now you have options!

I love Mabel!

40 years of love, friendship and family

This past Friday, I was allowed the honor of witnessing Jack and Barbara Cotter's 40th Wedding Anniversary. These two love birds celebrated their anniversary by renewing their vows in front of family and friends in Murphy, North Carolina. I have to say that it was the coziest and most intimate affair I have been to. As Jack and Barbara exchanged vows, the whole congregation teared up. Jack couldn't help but get emotional while he said those traditional words of partnership. I'm sure 40 years of memories flashed in his head during those 15 seconds.

The ceremony couldn't be complete and come full circle with the baptism of the two newcomers to the Cotter clan. Quinn and Reagan were welcomed to the Catholic Faith on the day of their grandparents wedding.

The reception was held at McGuire's Millrace Farm. Millrace Farm was definitely a place of history and love. The farm once was a grist mill and has been in the McGuire family since the Civil War. As we drove down the gravel dirt road, there were old wooden buildings to the left and right, including McGuire country store where the now-owner's grandfather fed people during the Great Depression. I could just imagine the pictures underneath these old roofs...very vintage and country. I wish I took pictures of this place, but you will have to see it for yourself. It's only a beautiful two-hour drive from Atlanta. Read more on "40 years of love, friendship and family"...

An Unlikely Beginning

...a Happy Ending

If you don't know the story of this couple, it's really interesting and definitely an unlikely beginning. The "groom" was a priest while the "bride" was a nun. The two love birds found love and together left their vocations to spend the rest of their waking moments with each other. Forty years later, the couple will renew their vows as well as finally celebrate with a reception, which they weren't able to have. The ceremony will be held this July in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Read more on "An Unlikely Beginning"...
